The Girl Who Wanted To Fly

Since birth, she had always been an adventurous girl, always wanting to explore and see the world. She would constantly surprise her mother, and father by running off into town to go explore it. She was always chatty, always had a boatload of friends and she was constantly the center of attention due to how much she always knew about random things.

And, that wouldn’t change. She would continue to delve into ruins, finding strange artifacts, and healing items. She would grow curious to healing, always wanting to help people. She would find rare medicines for the locaks, who had gotten sick. She would scavenge them from nearby ruins, sometimes to get what she needed she would have to go quite far from home. But she would do it if it meant saving a soul.

She had learned the medicinal practices of the Ancients by simply studying their books. Eva was always a book reader. If she ever got her hands on a new book she would read it and take notes. She would write plenty of notes, scribbles, things in her diary about what she learned. Eva constantly would do this without end sometimes.

Eva’s favorite color was green, it was quite obvious to those around her. She loved it because it matched her emerald eyes and she was always complimented whenever she wore it. It wasn’t exactly a common color. So, she would often tailor her own dresses, making them more maneuverable and easier to get around in. Eva often was seen as a smart woman, but wasn’t always seen as such.

When she was younger she was bullied for talking too much. She would get called Chatty Cathy, but she wouldn’t let it bother her much. Her mother ever defensive of her would defend her,and even so much as go after the people bullying her. She would constantly stick up for her, which caused Eva to learn to be a person who would stand up to those who wronged others. She saw bullies as a wrong, and their methods illogical.

Eva's Adulthood

Eva continued to grow, she would become Hugelstads alchemist, and open an apothecary. She would continue to cure the sick, more properly treating them, and refilling her stock with items from ancient ruins. Keeping a rather large supply of all things she needed, whether it be crushed up aloe, or even simple gauss, she would have it for the villagers.

She was often proposed to, but never would accept. The closest a man had ever got to an acception was when one handed her her favorite flower. The Daisy. She loved Daisies, they would grow in the southern hills of Hugelstadt. She often would pick them as gifts or to sell to other villagers. They would bring smiles to the people she gave them to.

But alas, her story did not end here. One day she went exploring a ruin, looking for Leola Ointment. She hadn’t been in this ruin before but got her leg stuck under a large rock. She screamed in agony, she was in deep pain. She remained pinned for a couple hours trying to get out. But lucky for a couple of men happened upon her screaming for help. They hesitantly rescued her, worried about her being here.

She was suspicious and concerned by one of them who looked like a brute. But, the other was far kinder, and far more gentle. He asked her many questions about how she got her knowledge, what she was looking for, and more. She being a rather chatty person had no issue telling him, and plus she saw no harm.

Eventually she found what she needed after rummaging through a medicinal cabinet. She was swiftly offered a job, for knowing so much about healing. She accepted but noted she needed to heal the person she originally planned to heal, as well as alerting her parents to this. So, she set off. Healing the man by easing his pain. She then went to go tell her family what had happened and that she would be working for a governor. They were excited by this fact and supported her in her endeavors wishing her good luck. So, she left. She saw a rainbow on her way there. She took it as a sign, of what was to come.

She would learn magic from many a book, clearly having an aptitude for it, she could cast without a focus, however she always preferred a staff. It was a nice comfort to lean on, and it made people respect her more. Slowly over time she would become quite a strong mage, learning from the wizards, as well as the valkyries. She would learn from the wizards books, and the valkyries practice. She read in their library, which she was granted access to, and would mainly focus on healing and defensive spells. However, due to the valkyries she learned some offensive light spells. Her beating would bring about a change in her mood, regarding holy magic, and she wouldn’t use it that much… But relinquished this when meeting Alyssa, remembering how good light can be.
